Alyssa
RDH – Dental Hygienist
Alyssa joined the Brighten Dental family in 2022, bringing over a decade of expertise to our clinical team. She graduated from Western Kentucky University (WKU) in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science after completing their rigorous Dental Hygiene Program.
As a dedicated Dental Hygienist, Alyssa is known for her patient, listening ear and her ability to keep patients comfortable through friendly conversation. She loves being part of a practice where the environment is supportive and full of heart. Alyssa’s goal is to make every patient feel like a valued member of the Brighten Dental family.
Outside of the office, Alyssa stays busy as a local entrepreneur; she and her husband, Zach, own Bowling Green Cornhole. When she isn’t at the practice or running her business, you can find her crafting, thrift shopping, or hiking. Alyssa is excited to meet new faces and can’t wait for you to experience our amazing office!
Cat Shanks
RDH – Dental Hygienist
Cat Shanks joined the Brighten Dental team in 2023. A proud graduate of Western Kentucky University, Cat earned her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene, providing her with a strong foundation in oral health education and clinical excellence.
For Cat, the best part of being a hygienist is getting to know her patients personally. She focuses on making every visit comfortable and contributes to the practice’s success by sharing personalized tips to help patients keep their smiles healthy and bright between visits.
Cat lives in the community with her husband, Cole Shanks, and their dog, Nala. Her favorite ways to spend her free time include traveling, reading, trying out new local restaurants, and hiking. Whether she’s shopping or playing with Nala, Cat enjoys staying active and is always ready to welcome you with a smile.
Stacy Howard
Insurance & Treatment Plan Coordinator
Stacy Howard joined Brighten Dental in July 2024, serving as our Insurance and Treatment Plan Coordinator and a welcoming face at the front desk. With a Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University, Stacy believes in being a well-rounded professional. By learning the ins and outs of the dental field beyond her specific role, she ensures the office runs smoothly and that every patient’s experience is seamless.
Stacy loves the positive atmosphere at Brighten Dental, where the team truly smiles every day. She is passionate about helping patients navigate their insurance and treatment plans so they can achieve their oral health goals with ease.
Family is the center of Stacy’s world. She is currently celebrating 24 years of marriage and is the proud mother of three “beautifully fun and loving children.” When she isn’t cheering on her family or attending local sporting events, she is likely enjoying quality time with those she loves most.
Eiman
Hygienist
Eiman AlEissa joined the Brighten Dental family in April 2025, bringing a strong academic background and a passion for patient-centered care to the team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Western Kentucky University in 2011, followed by a Master of Public Health from the same institution in 2014. Most recently, she completed her PhD in Public Health with a focus on Health Promotion and Health Behavior from Oregon State University in 2024.
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Eiman is known for her compassionate, personable approach and her ability to make patients feel comfortable, heard, and at ease. She takes pride in delivering high-quality care tailored to each individual, always prioritizing comfort and overall well-being. She values being part of a supportive, family-oriented team and is dedicated to creating a positive experience for every patient while contributing to a culture of teamwork and care.
Outside of the office, Eiman enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, doodling, and creating Neurographic art. She also loves spending time with her fur-nephew Gunner and niece Gretal. With a strong interest in public health and prevention, she is passionate about improving access to oral healthcare and looks forward to helping every patient feel welcome at Brighten Dental.
